Detailed Itinerary
Breakfast early morning and after, meet your cultural safari leader for a warm welcome and briefing on your 5 days cultural safari. After, drive to Uganda National Museum in Kamwokya, Kiira road. Uganda National Museum is East Africa’s oldest museum, founded in 1908. The Museum houses variety of equipment including historical hunting gear, different traditional musical instruments of various tribes, weapons etc.
After historical and cultural learning in the Museum, travel to Ssezibwa Falls, a cultural site and a magical waterfall. The Ssezibwa Falls is a cultural and historical site of great significance in Buganda Kingdom. After your expedition and photography, return to Kampala for an overnight stay.

Have an early morning breakfast and after, transfer to Kasubi tombs which are burial grounds of Buganda Kingdoms royals and kings. The past kings were laid to rest here including King/Kabaka Mutesa I, King Mwanga and Edward Mutesa II and Kabaka Daudi Chwa II. After your tour at Kasubi, drive to Makerere University for brief tour including where the National Museum first was established before it was transferred to Kamwokya. Have lunch and then later in the evening, you will be transferred to Ndere Cultural Centre for amazing cultural and traditional dances.

Breakfast early morning and after, you will be visiting Mengo Palace to explore more about the distinct cultures and history of Buganda Kingdom. The palace was built in 1922 and it once served as a home to Kings of Buganda. After a long exploration at the palace, drive to the Kabaka’s Lake which occupies approximately 5 acres.

After breakfast, drive to Katereke Prison ditch that dates back to 1880s when Kabaka Kalema constructed it. The ditch gives insight into brutal and violent history in Buganda where those who opposed the king were imprisoned here-these included King’s sisters and brothers. Have a leisurely lunch and after, you will be visiting the Baha'i temple the only one temple in Africa, and one of the only 7 existing temples in the world.
