Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 of 10 days Uganda game & cultural safari includes an early morning breakfast and after, your guide/driver picks you ready to transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. Murchison Falls NP which sits along the Northwestern side of Uganda is the biggest of the 10 National Parks in the Pearl of Africa and protects over 76 mammal species, 451 bird species and one of the world’s powerful waterfalls-Murchison Falls.
About 6 hours will be spent to drive up to Murchison Falls but there will be en-route stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. You will later settle for lunch in a hotel at Masindi then go relax at the booked lodge at the park.

Enjoy a tasty cup of tea or coffee and after, a game drive will follow via the Northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. In a 4WD, with a guide, expect to keep an eye on diverse animal species including the Rothschild giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, antelopes, bird species and others. Get back to safari lodge after game viewing, enjoy a delicious lunch then catch up with an afternoon boat cruise on Victoria Nile. This will be a great chance for you to keep an eye on hundreds of Nile crocodiles, hippos, water birds and mesmerizing view of riverine vegetation, Murchison Falls at a distance. Get out of the boat to start a hike 45 minutes up to the top of the falls to witness it exploding, take photos and then get back to your lodge.

Have breakfast early morning, after, meet your driver guide for transfer to Kibale your next destination on 10 days Uganda game & cultural safari. On a journey of about 7-8 hours, expect amazing view of Albertine rift escarpment and the beautiful countryside. Later, your driver will make a stop at Fort Portal for you to have some lunch then you proceed to check into the lodge at Kibale National Park.

Breakfast is enjoyed back in your lodge and after, pick up by driver for briefing at Kanyanchu Tourist Center. The park official will give insight into the chimpanzee tracking rules and regulations, and then he allocates to you a park guide to lead you through the 2-4 hours of tracking chimpanzees.
While in the jungles, the park guide will give you strictly an hour to stay with chimpanzees, learn more about them, take photos and you return for lunch. After lunch, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park 3-4 hours to check into your booked accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

After you have had breakfast, meet the guide for warm greeting, then proceed for your 2-4 hours’ game drive via Kasenyi sector. This sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park will have you exposed to diverse animal species such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, antelope families, birds and others. Retreat from Kasenyi Plains game viewing and have lunch, relax then catch up with Kazinga Channel boat cruise at 2:00pm. Spend at least 2-4 hours exploring the extensive channel, view hippos, crocodiles, water birds and other animals.

After breakfast, settle at any of the 4 sectors in Bwindi for briefing about dos and don’ts for gorilla trekking. By 8:00am, be ready for actual trek to view gorillas in the wild and this will cover 2-6 hours including 1 hour for you to take photos, learn how they behave then walk back.
In case time permits, Batwa cultural walk will be your next activity and it allows you to interact with the Batwa pygmies, get entertained by their dances, music, stories as told by elders. Retreat from the cultural walk; settle for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Enjoy a heavy breakfast and after, you will be visiting Lake Mburo National Park in Western Uganda. Lake Mburo N/Park is the only park in Uganda where horseback riding is conducted and it shelters significant animal species such as zebras, elands, waterbucks, warthogs, buffaloes etc. For early arrivals, you will have the best of Lake Mburo boat cruise which includes seeing hippos, crocodiles and hundreds of interesting animals on the land.

Day 9 of the 10 days Uganda game & cultural safari will include breakfast early morning and a game drive along savannas of Lake Mburo N/Park. Return after 2-3 hours of game drive, relax and then go for cultural walk in the nearby local community before spending a night.
